The 2025 4Runner includes heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and in some models, rear seat heaters. These features enhance driver and passenger comfort during cold mornings or hot summer days.

Front Seat Heating & Ventilation

Available in three intensity levels (HI, MID, LO), each seat can be independently controlled via buttons or the multimedia touchscreen (depending on trim).
  • Press the seat heater/ventilation button to cycle through heat → vent → off
  • On touchscreen-equipped models, press the [CLIMATE] button and tap seat icons
  • Operation is available only when the ignition is in ON mode
Heat warms the seat base and backrest using internal heaters.
Ventilation pulls air through perforated seat material to cool down the surface.

To prevent battery drain, the system shuts off when the engine is turned off and restarts in the previous mode when restarted.

Heated Steering Wheel

  • Press the steering wheel heater button to activate
  • The heater warms the grip area around 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock
  • It shuts off automatically after a set time
  • Indicator light will turn off when deactivated
In cold weather, using the heated steering wheel and seat heaters can reduce the need for high cabin heat settings, improving energy efficiency.

Rear Seat Heaters (if equipped)

Some trims include two-stage heated rear outboard seats
  • Switches are located near the rear console
  • HI and LO settings
  • Only works when engine is running

Notes and Safety

  • Avoid placing items over seat vents during ventilation
  • Do not use seat heaters if material is wet
  • Passengers with sensitive skin or certain medical conditions should avoid prolonged use
  • If seat heating doesn’t function, check fuses or consult dealer
