Ok guys, here is a quick look at the new 6th Gen 4Runner specs and what you need to know.

Starting off, the 4Runner will continue being built in Japan on the TNGA-F global truck platform that is shared with Land Cruiser, Tundra, Tacoma, and Sequoia.

There will be 9 models:
  1. SR5
  2. TRD Sport
  3. TRD Sport Premium
  4. TRD Off-road
  5. TRD Off-road Premium
  6. Limited
  7. Platinum
  8. TRD Pro
  9. TrailHunter
Engine Options:
  • i-Force turbocharged 2.4L 4cly pumping out 278hp and 323lbs of torque
  • i- Force Max turbocharged 2.4L 4cly Hybrid pushing out 325hp and 465lbs of torque!
Transmission & Towing:
  • Transmission: 8-speed automatic
  • Towing: up to 6000lbs
  • Hybrid Battery Warranty: 10 years/150k miles
Safety Features:
  • Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard on all 2025 models which includes:
    • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
    • Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
    • Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
    • Lane Tracing Assist
    • Road Sign Assist
    • Automatic High Beams
    • Proactive Driving Assist

  • Rearview mirror screen camera: Flip a switch and see what's behind you in the rear view mirror. Useful when the 4Runner is packed with people and gear.

I really love the new features, Toyota finally went all in and brought the 4Runner up to par with their lineup! I really wonder how the torque and gas mileage will be with powertrain options!
 
I bet it’s going to be amazing - I need to see it in person and take it for a spin before I can really form an objective opinion. But I think my 5th gen’s days are numbered
