Why wouldn't you be? More power, more torque, better MPG, virtually no extra maintenance. Was worried at first based on previous leaks that it would look too much like the Sequoia, but I’m glad it has a bit of its own feel.
Excited to see how the hybrid feels, not sure I’m sold on it but still interested.
Most of the other tech is awesome and will definitely be worth the wait!
The electric motor will pretty much guarantee that a twin turbo would be pointless. This hybrid aint like a Prius. That electric motor is all about power and torque. So stoked for this new generation. Toyota killed it. I think they balanced mixing new features with 4Runner’s heritage really well. Now that it’s turbocharged, I wonder if we’ll be seeing anything from Magnuson in the future… a twin-charged 4Runner?!?
Loving the new color that was released! New member by the way!Ok guys, here is a quick look at the new 6th Gen 4Runner specs and what you need to know.
Starting off, the 4Runner will continue being built in Japan on the TNGA-F global truck platform that is shared with Land Cruiser, Tundra, Tacoma, and Sequoia.

I couldn't agree more! While I think it's a good thing that we keep moving forward into the future, there's something to be said about keeping the mechanics of something, mechanical. I really appreciate the 5th gens mechanical 4wd as well as the control knobs on the dash. Super happy to see Toyota has held on to some of that function! Nevertheless, if there's a manu out there that can squeeze reliability out of an electronic, it's Toyota.I love that Toyota kept the control knobs. Too much touch-screen would annoy me while driving.
And TBH I love how the 6th gen looks. Especially the retro windows that look like they're from the 2nd gen!
LOL right!? I about become a Toyota Admiral, running my own personal fleet!I feel like I need the Trailhunter. Looks like I'm gonna have a 4Runner collection!

I think the main hesitation is more complexity and the battery taking up valuable real estate. As a family of 5 + a dog we need every inch we can get for storage when camping and such. Why wouldn't you be? More power, more torque, better MPG, virtually no extra maintenance.
