So in the past when a TRD Pro color was replaced with the new “special” color Toyota would typically bring the previous pro color to TRD Off-Road and sport models. Toyota did not officially announce this when they introduced the new wave maker color however I expect this process to not change with this new 4Runner. One thing, though that I think they may change up, is this color could potentially be on the Trailhunter grade for 2026. Even though they did not do this with the Tacoma with the terra color I think that it would be cool for them to do that here with this platform. So for those of you who were wanting the mud bath color, but not pay the pro price. You may want to wait for 2026 to get it on a TRD Off-Road and potentially TRD Sport.
