So the new 4Runner comes with a 14” infotainment screen along with an 8" screen for lower models. This is the same screen that’s in the new Tundra as well. For me, it’s perfect. You can see maps clearly like OnX or Apple Maps, music is easy to navigate, and CarPlay works great for me too, it is also wireless. I do like how the smaller screen is kinda built into the dash on the Tacoma a little more, which I assume is how the new 4Runner will look as well. However, the 14” screen isn’t overly intrusive. Thoughts?

This is one of the reasons I want the new 4runner, currently have a 2024 Rav4 Hybrid Limited, I like the 14inch display but I mainly want a 4runner so I can put 37s and do some off roading, do you think it's a good idea too wait 2-3 years and get a used 6th gen or get a new one ? And in regards to Trims would a trd off road premium be better for future modabilty vs a trd pro ?

I definitely like the bigger screen. I hate that its no good without the subscriptions unless you turn on Android or Apple parts. Is it integrated good? Nah. But I do feel like it may be able to be replaced much easier if needed in the long run. The USB behind is a bit odd as well.

I also noticed you have the JBL system. We can link a boatload of them together at a party. How soon will it be until we start hear reports of peeps with holes in their dashes from missing speakers? LOL

I would not buy another new one. Wait for depreciation… they’re not worth the current msrp and if you have to pay a tariff or dealer markup they’re even worse. I paid $50k for my 2020 trd pro, and over $75k for my 2025 with the same options (before ppf/ceramic, and no tariff or markup) and it’s nowhere close to 50% more vehicle. Just my .02

That's not just the 4R's that went up like that. Bought a new 21' ProMaster for a work van for 48K got t-boned and totaled 2 days after this last Christmas, buy a new replacement ProMaster Jan. 25', same thing, a bit more electronics. 68K out the door.

My new 25' ProMaster does have auto wipers which my 25' 4R Pro does not. Imagine that...

I love the screen. I had it in my 24 Tundra LTD and was not going to have another vehicle without one. 25 Heritage Blue LTD Hybrid.
... and for what its worth, I feel like the new 4 Runner is just better built, more refined and generally better at every comparable task than my Tundra was.
