Hey everyone, I’ve been going back and forth on tire sizes, and I’m trying to get some feedback.
What’s the largest size you can reasonably run on the stock suspension without having to start trimming or cutting into the bodywork? I know some people push the limits, but I’m hoping to avoid constant rubbing or having to break out the saw right away.
Im running stock TRD Offroad wheels, and now I’m just deciding what tire size makes the most sense. I’m looking at some A/Ts and will be driving them through Montana winters, but also I just like how the more aggressive tire looks.
So here’s my question: is something like a 285/70 too much for stock, or has anyone run that size without problems? Should I be sticking closer to a 275, or is the jump worth it? I’d like to hear from people who have actually mounted these sizes on a 6th Gen with stock suspension.
What are you all running, and if you tried going bigger, did it result in any issues?
