What do you guys think about the CBI Super Stock low-profile front bumper?

Are you going to run a low-profile bumper on your 6th Gen, or are you waiting for full-width options to come out?

I think this low-profile option from CBI is going to be a huge win for a lot of owners who don't want to cut too much of the factory front bumper off. The install was incredibly simple, and the new 6th Gen makes it incredibly easy to fit a winch behind the bumper. You don't have to relocate any intercooler lines to fit a winch like you did with some bumpers on the 5th Gen 4Runner. We had the factory bumper off and the new CBI super stock bumper on in about 3 hours from start to finish. This was a very easy installation.

The bumper itself has everything you need: winch mount plate, two 5/8 welded recovery points, access ports for the winch clutch, and it mounts to the 6th Gen 4Runner frame rail with 5 19mm bolts on each side. Compare that to 3 14mm bolts that hold most 5th Gen 4Runner bumpers in place. This thing will be able to handle some serious pulls under load.

It also just looks like it belongs on the front end. This is going to be such a good option for so many owners.

If you guys have any questions, let me know.

Looks badass! That’s one of the bumpers I am looking at. How much cutt/trim was involved?

@Hound D - thanks man! I wrote an installation guide on it.

You just have to trim the lower valance section, and you're done. It was more of a pain disconnecting the valances from each other than anything else.

Yeah the install looks super clean. I like the way it maintains much of the look of the stock front end. Low pro is definitely the way I want to go and I have my eye on that one. Can’t beat the price with a stick! I think you just made up my mind.

@4RunnerNation - they provide plenty of access, even for dudes with big hands. I've seen worse on other bumpers for sure. For the most part, all winch access ports are pretty tight, but these provide more than enough clearance to reach your hand in on either side to turn the winch on and engage/disengage the clutch.

Right on. I’ve got a good pair of mitts so that helps for sure.
