I want to get a 4runner 2025 either TRD pro or TrailHunter, I know both are extremely capable for off-road, but the question here is which one will be more comfortable for on-road. It'll be my main car for driving dialy almost and just wondering which one will be on-road capable.
I saw alot of reviews and videos and still not clear which one better for on-road and dialy driving.
Thanks

Both are going to offer the same level of comfort on-road. They both pack the same drivetrain, power, features, and create comforts. The only difference is trim and styling, so no real noticeable difference in terms of on-road performance. Just depends on which one you like more aesthetically.

Personally, I went with the pro mainly because of the noise from the “snorkel” on the TH. Also, I just got back from a 5,500 mile trip from OR to KY and back. Not disappointed in the slightest. I have just about 7,300 on it now. I will reiterate, it totally came down to that whooooosh right outside the passenger window every time you touch the gas.

Thanks for replying.
How's the drive for long distance?
Have you tried to change the fox shocks settings? Does that fo any affect on the ride?
I didn't see or read about anyone changed them.
Any feedback on the road driving?
So for the TH just the noise from the snorkel, I noticed a wobble in the hood as well when I took it for test drive.

Shocks were set to 1(softest) and drove like an suv. Not much to say but it was comfy. Once in Colorado, I loaded up the truck, after deleting the back seats prior to the trip, with a bunch of stuff and adjusted the rear to 2 which seemed to do the job just fine. I was also towing my new smoker trailer (2800 lbs). If towing, get the 3-4” drop hitch though. Handled it like a champ. Adjusting the shocks totally makes a difference. Also make sure tire pressure is accurate to 33-35 and not the 48 the dealer has you drive it off the lot with. Monster difference there.

Ahh, the hood wobble, yup. It’s an aluminum hood so that’s gonna happen. It’s much less pronounced on the TH and other non-scoop trims. I swapped mine out within days of ownership with another dude. Yes, there are owners that want the scoop. Me, nope. 👎

The most fun was the adaptive cruise control and trusting it to do what it supposed to do.

Awesome, thanks for the detailed explanation 👍
