DR KDSS Rear Track Bar Relocation Bracket Now Confirmed for 2025+ 6th Gen 4Runner (Hybrid Confirmed)
It’s official, the DR KDSS pan hard relocation bracket fits the 6th Gen 4Runner hybrid models with the new 9.5" rear end... and likely all other non-hybrid models with the 8.2 rear end (although that's not confirmed).
This bracket has been a go-to solution for fixing rear bump steer on lifted 5th Gen 4Runners and GX platforms for years, but until now, no one had confirmed compatibility with the 6th Gen 4Runner. We finally test-fitted and installed it on a 2025 Hybrid TRD Off-Road, and it bolts up perfectly, no modification needed.
Even though the 250 Series Land Cruiser uses the 8.2" housing and the 6th Gen 4Runner hybrid runs the larger 9.5" rear end, this bracket works across both platforms, including the GX550. No need to relocate ABS lines like the 5th Gen, no bending mounting bracket tabs, and zero clearance issues with the rear spring. It’s a clean install and solves the geometry problem introduced after a rear lift.
If you’ve lifted your 6th Gen and notice unstable handling or rear-end wander at speed, this is likely what you’re missing.
Without further delay, here’s the install walkthrough...

Just like the 5th Gen, you receive the primary bracket, bottom washer mount, double shear bracket, and all the hardware.
If you have your spare mounted, you will not be able to fit an impact gun in there. Hand tools are all you can use. Also, for the 5th Gen 4Runner, I use Vice grips to bend the track bar mounting bracket backward. You don't need to do that on the 6th Gen, so no need for vice grips. All you need is an 18mm and 19mm socket and a 1/2 wrench in addition to a 22mm open-end wrench. A rubber mallet also helps to knock the pan hard into or out of place.
Using an 18mm, unbolt the factory track bar bolt and then use a rubber mallet to knock the bar up out of place.
Now insert the double shear bracket.
Slide the washer nut into the small opening from the backside, and line it up with the hole closest to the differential.
Now slide in the factory bolt through the primary bracket, but not all the way. Just get the threads started.
Loosely thread the lower bracket bolt into the washer nut - just get the threads started.
Then loosely thread in the side bolt.
Finally, drop the track bar into place and slide in the new hardware and nut. On the backside of the bolt where the nut threads on, it's tight, so don't insert the bolt all the way, just enough to get the threads started on the nut so that you can get your 22mm open end wrench on.
Another amazing product by Dr. KDSS.
Always the best hardware, well packed and well planned. Such a killer mod for anyone with a lift.

DR. KDSS Pan Hard Relocation Bracket Kit
Tools and Materials
If you have your spare mounted, you will not be able to fit an impact gun in there. Hand tools are all you can use. Also, for the 5th Gen 4Runner, I use Vice grips to bend the track bar mounting bracket backward. You don't need to do that on the 6th Gen, so no need for vice grips. All you need is an 18mm and 19mm socket and a 1/2 wrench in addition to a 22mm open-end wrench. A rubber mallet also helps to knock the pan hard into or out of place.
1. Unbolt Panhard Bar
Using an 18mm, unbolt the factory track bar bolt and then use a rubber mallet to knock the bar up out of place.
2. Insert Adapter Bracket
3. Slide In Bottom Plate Large Washer
Slide the washer nut into the small opening from the backside, and line it up with the hole closest to the differential.
4. Attach Main Bracket & Loosely Thread Factory Panhard Bolt
Now slide in the factory bolt through the primary bracket, but not all the way. Just get the threads started.
5. Loosely Thread Bottom Bolt
Loosely thread the lower bracket bolt into the washer nut - just get the threads started.
6. Loosely Thread Side Bolt
Then loosely thread in the side bolt.
7. Insert New Panhard Bolt
Finally, drop the track bar into place and slide in the new hardware and nut. On the backside of the bolt where the nut threads on, it's tight, so don't insert the bolt all the way, just enough to get the threads started on the nut so that you can get your 22mm open end wrench on.
