The downside of Toyota sharing designs/components across multiple platforms is, if there's a recall, it can have a ripple effect into other models. At present, the gen-4 Tacoma rear brake line recall and sales halt only affects models with 17 inch wheels. If that expands to 4runners, is it right that only the SR5 models have 17" wheels (and probably the same rear brake line and routing) and all other trims have 18 or 20 inch wheels and in theory, shouldn't be affected?
