Official Toyota 2025 4Runner site is live w/ configurator

Kept reading and hearing that DPH was going to be $1,450 but it is actually $1,545.

Build and price note: you can get the digital rearview mirror on TRD-ORP and Limited by adding the $400 towing package.

Also kind of a bummer that the SR5 and the TRD Sport do not come in Everest! An SR5P might have been the move but I really wanted the Everest green. Dammit Toyota!!

Well I'm torn. For me it's between the TRD-ORP and Limited. I don't want a hybrid so the Platinum is out. The Limited has no colors I'm interested in (underground is essentially black; tired of white vehicles; don't mind blue except don't like baby blue; no silver or everest green offered; that leaves only SS Red) and requires 20" wheels. The TRD-ORP comes in the everest green I like (although I like it better with body-color fenders like on the Limited), and the silver might be OK too, and you can get the black 18" TRD wheels from the factory, and you can get the digital rearview mirror by adding the towing package. The single zone climate control might be a show stopper for me (that's an unbelievable omission for a premium package. it's rare that 2 people in the front seat want the same settings).
So, I don't know. I guess a new Tacoma is back in the running for me.

That kind of sucks, you can't add any of these packages below the TRD ORP/Limited trims:

Prewired Auxiliary Switches
$400 MSRP

Moonroof
$850 MSRP

Tow Tech Package
$400 MSRP

Why the Tacoma though?? Are you saying that the Tacoma dual climate control on the premium trim standard? What's the real draw to Tacoma over 4Runner?
I'll have to re-phrase your question from the other direction since I started at the '24 Tacoma (OR Prem or Limited there too) before the '25 4R was announced. But I paused because of the early issues with the taco. Once the 4R initial info came out, I looked into it more, convinced myself it might be more practical longer-term, and added it to my list.

The main draw to the 4R (compared to the 24 taco) is it's 18" shorter and has a 7 foot shorter turning diameter so it should be less of a pain to maneuver in ever-shrinking parking lots, but still has decent cargo hauling capability. And I love the roll down rear window for hauling long materials (I don't know about hauling 4' wide sheet goods though). So I can still maintain most pickup functions (except messy stuff like landscape debris and tall stuff but that's a rare haul for me). Since I expect to still need to haul stuff forever, having the cargo area as big as possible is important (i.e. 3rd row seats are out, and that's rare in SUVs of this size, but some other SUVs do a better job of folding 2 rows and having a flat cargo area--but none of them have the roll down rear window).

So there's a lot I like about the 4R, but I have to admit I'm really disappointed in some of the constraining conditions made by toyota. The paint color limits by trim level are a head-scratcher, especially when the colors already exist in the lineup. I'll have to think more about the 1 zone climate limitation on the ORP. It was a shock to see that. I was definitely leaning more towards the Limited, before they released the (lack of) paint colors.

Yeah, I hear you. I have a 2nd Gen Tacoma so I have most of my hauling needs covered with that one. I was also pretty annoyed with the lack of color options from model to model and package options from model to model. They legit didn't give the consumer what we wanted... options. Even with 12 trims to choose from, the options/packages and colors are so scattered, that it doesn't make sense. lol.

And the fact that you can't get an SR5 Premium anymore is just wild. It's almost like they just inch you up model to model because options/colors aren't available ultimately pushing everyone closer to a TRDOR or ORP with the color spec and interior premium options - which pushes most desired specs to around $60K OTD.

You should at least be able to option SofTex seats and a 14" screen on an SR5 Premium and be done... not an option. So weird.

Lame for sure we have to pay extra for the moon roof on a premium vehicle. Wth. But that TRD ORP in Everest is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

On the 1-zone climate control, are the heated/ventilated seats tied to that? In other words, on 1-zone climate vehicles that otherwise have heated/ventilated seats, is the passenger seat also heated/ventilated, or does 1-zone limit the H/V seats to just the driver?
