Hi all, I'm a minimalist, and today I put together a sleeping platform for my 25 TRD orp.
It consisted of a half inch piece of plywood 50 inches long by 26 inches wide. $20 and I have left over for a makeshift table.
It is sitting on top of a very sturdy HDX storage container from the depot. Nine bucks. I have been toying around with these specialized platforms that cost well over $500 to basically Jam your head right through the roof.

So the real Simplicity of this if I'm traveling solo in the outback or on a long distance drive and feel the need for a little snooze I'm set.

Also if I want to expand, just put down put another piece of plywood.

I can plug my little coffee percolator with instant coffee and I'm good to go till the next Roadside Diner. The storage containers are quite large and can easily hold a small cooking stove, propane , headlamps, axe, p365 etc. I have room for a small good quality ice chest that will hold a solid dinner and a breakfast for one night.

Could probably stretch it to a two nighter or even a three nighter with a bigger cooler. I have lots of room to stack storage containers. I got a good laugh from a few friends but it will work for me. Picture attached

Need more photos on this without the sleeping pad on top... lol This is sick dude.

Is the bottom level from the cargo area to the backseat? Curious to see how the totes sit on the floor..

How straight can you actually sleep? I am 5 foot 9 and I just don't think I could straighten out my legs enough to be 100% comfortable. I am going to pull my 2nd and 3rd rows out soon though.

Its kinda tight back here. I slept on the Air Down Gear Up drawer system with the sleeper for the first time on our Rubicon trip for three nights. I'll upload some photos when I get a chance.

@MikeDuffy looks like you have the non-hybrid? Definitely more headspace when you wake up for sure.

@TurboGuy2000 I'm also 5'9" and had the perfect amount of space to sleep with a little room to spare. It's always tight in the back of a vehicle, even the 5th Gen, but there is enough room for us to sleep back here, length-wise. The sleeper system on the @Air Down Gear Up system extends to the edge of the passenger seat (you can opt for a full sleeper as well, I just took off the driver side), and if you adjust the seat all the way forward, you can buy yourself another 8-10", making it plenty of room to stretch out. If you do push the seat all the way forward with this system, for example, though, it creates a gap between the sleeper platform and the backseat, so my pillow was slipping off the platform into the gap. This was the first night sleeping on it. For the next couple of nights, I built up some material using storage boxes until it was level, and then moved the Luno mattress over the edge. It ended up being perfect. If you're a guy pushing 6' though, it's going to be tight back here.
