Finally installed the Sxth Element front recovery points on the 6th Gen.

There is nothing wrong with the factory recovery points, and it's nice that the 6th Gen 4Runner comes with two double sheer recovery points.

The Sxth Element Front Recovery Points (FRP) have the same functionality as the OEM recovery points; they just look better. You can get them in this candy red color, or black.

CNC-machined from billet 7075 aluminum with a load capacity of 11,000 lbs per point.

They bolt directly to the 4Runner's existing double sheer mounting points (not sure if all models actually come with recovery points in the front). If someone with an SR5 down can chime in on whether or not your 4Runner came with recovery points, that would be awesome. We have the TRD ORP and we did have recovery points on our 4Runner... I just saw these recovery points and wanted them.

The main point of the upgrade though, is that they extend the attachment reach by 1.5 inches to reduce potential body damage during recoveries. Each piece is laser-engraved with torque and recovery specs. The recovery point is anodized so you know it will last through harsh environments.

The FRP is designed to work with most 3/4 D-Rings and soft shackles under 1.75 inches in diameter. For best results, a bridle setup is recommended to evenly distribute recovery forces across both points, ensuring safer recoveries. We use the Kinetic-X Bridle but there are plenty of options on the market.

Key Features:
  • CNC 7075 aluminum construction
  • 11,000 lbs load rating (per point, direction of pull)
  • Bolt-on replacement for OEM recovery points
  • Extends reach by 1.5 inches for safer clearance
  • Black or red anodized finish with laser-etched specs
  • Compatible with most 3/4 D-Rings & soft shackles under 1.75"
