2025 6th Gen 4Runner Key Fob

Check out the new 2025 6th Gen 4Runner key fob. While in Ft. Lauderdale with the TRD Sport, I noticed that Toyota finally got around to giving these vehicles their 4R branded keys.

You can kind of see some stone effect in the background of the label. When I moved it under the hanger lights, there was a kind of metallic shine to it as well. It is nice that it actually says 4Runner, instead of it just being another new Toyota plastic key of this new generation.

As for the buttons, we see that there is the standard lock and unlock, however we new have the automatic hatch button right above the panic alarm. This is super cool to see finally added to the 4Runner.

Mine are plain on the back. New SR5 only a few weeks ago. My wifes '25 prius, only a few weeks older does say prius like that. Both vehicles brand new at almost the same time a few weeks ago. Both base trim levels (SR5, LE).

I'm fine with it though. I generally hate those kind of resin dome badges on things. I supplied my own keyfob coolness by spending an indefensible amount on a carbiner. At least that's actually a titanium split ring that came with it. (james is the brand, not my name)

That bottle opener creates a really comfortable way to wear it though. No swinging & jangling because inside the pocket, yet still hanging up high instead of making a lump down in the pocket. Pretty much forget they're there.
