I am yet to drive the new 6th Gen 4Runner but a friend had the opportunity to take it for a test drive 2 days ago. It was the SR5 trim and he said he was surprised with the engine noise and a bit disappointed cause it was too loud and annoying every time he stepped on the gas. It made me really curious and I'd love to know if anyone else has ever felt the same way?

He said some other things that might not be appropriate to share on here but his conclusion was that the SR5 is the only model missing the hood insulator. Probably that's the reason why it was so loud?
