I saw a few other discussions regarding the wireless charging pad that comes in some of the trim levels but nothing really definitive on how to get the most out of it, which phone cases work best for which phone, modifications, etc...

I've noticed that it's extremely picky about what phone case is in use and where the phone sits on the pad, I have a galaxy s25 ultra with a magsafe case and it works fine charging on the pad in my old tesla, but my off-road premium complains there's stuff in the way lol.

What workarounds or cases are you guys using/running to get the most out of this wireless charging pad?

I couldn't charge my phone with my phonecase on and as result didn't really use that feature. Ended up doing this mod using magsafe charger puck tapping into one of the usb type c plugs.

Yeah, I've been eyeing those as well as the passenger side one, I also like the magnetic aspect to keep the phone more solidly in place. I think Toyota kind of fumbled on this feature, it's great on paper but execution was subpar.

Loving my 4runner though otherwise

I haven’t had any issues with mine. But it honestly might have to do with the case on my phone.

Same loving the 6th Gen 4Runner as well. I get excited when I see another 6th on the road.

Possibly, I've tried 4 different cases for my s25 ultra so far, even the thin one I have causes the Qi obstruction error so I'll be coming up with something for it. Maybe the pads mentioned above or if I get some time, I may try to design and 3d print a replacement.
