Qi not charging enough

During a six hour drive, I had my Samsung phone on/in the Qi slot. It said it was connected. However using Waze & Spotify the entire time, I lost charge - went from 100% to 65%. However, I had a double ended USB-C cable and it charged to 100% using the same on a 1.5 hr drive. What am I doing wrong? And yes, it has a cover on the phone but removing it didn't do anything. And the cover on works at home with a Qi charging pad.

I noticed the same thing with mine, I didn't lose percentage using OnX or any Android Auto App but I didn't gain any either.

I've only done one long drive, but my phone's power seemed to hold steady. Check that your phone has "fast wireless charging" enabled. You also might want to check the modes and routines to make sure the driving mode isn't turning fast charging off.
