Hey everyone,

We’ve been working on a prototype rear recovery point for the 4Runner and wanted to get some outside perspective before we move further. I’ve attached a few photos below.

A couple of questions we’d love your thoughts on:
  • Do you like the general placement and design?
  • Does the clearance look right to you for off-road use?
  • Anything you’d change about the mounting setup or overall look?

This is still an early prototype so nothing is final. We really value input from people who actually use these trucks the way they’re meant to be used.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

That looks great! I like the length, I don't think it sticks out too far. The departure angle would not be affected enough to stop me from getting a set. Would some of the bigger soft shackles be compatible?

I like it. Would like it a little up higher closer to the body, but I would seriously consider for the right price. Needs to be cheaper than anything ARB has.

This height is necessary to make them cross-compatible with the Land Cruiser.

As for price, we are still working on this as we machine our recovery points from billet 7000 series aluminum, which makes the manufacturing cost quite high.
