We have an ORP with the JBL system and I can't get but the first few artists or albums to come up when I try to do a search. Neither of the two dealerships I have talked with have a viable solution. The thumb drives are in the Fat32 format and one has been used in several different vehicles with no issues. Bummer not being able to bring up the artist or album I want.

After spending 40 minutes on the phone with Toyota and not getting the issue resolved, and no reply to my post, I guess no one else is having any of these issues. Jeep, Ram and Honda are all capable of reading the thumb drive and displaying all the artists and/or albums; why can't Toyota?

Because the software on the infotainment isn't programmed for that. That's early 2000s standard, not 2026.
Page 230 of the Multimedia Owner's Manual lists specs required for USB Flash drives. What I have found, so far, by my experimentations is if I make a play list and add CD album files to it, they will read as long as the play list folder is around one MB. The radio only "sees" the first song on an album if I have more than one of that particular artist on the drive. I bought some older version USB 2.0 formatted thumb drives off Amazon to comply with Toyota's requirement; just makes for a much slower transfer of data. And the beat goes on ..........
We live in a remote area that has very little streaming access (cell phones work in just a part of my house and then it's iffy, minimal internet service-our AT&T connection is as slow as the old dial up at times, etc.). I enjoy the variety of music that I've acquired through the years and the ability to listen to what I desire when I desire without any commercials.
Gawd YT is the worst. Google should have left Play alone (and alive). I'm using a large thumb drive but had to use a free 3rd party formatter to properly format it. Windows 11 won't do it correctly past a certain amount (I think something like 32gb).
