For anyone looking for a great Mud Terrain on wet surface roads that also performs incredibly well off-road, you should consider these tires.

I just wrapped 5000 miles on a set of 37×12.5R17 Firestone Destination MT2s on the 6G 4Runner… and these are the best performing mud terrains I’ve ever tested on wet asphalt. No joke. Rubicon granite, NorCal rain, mud, dry slabs, wet asphalt off the line, these things stay planted everywhere. Where most MTs break loose the second you hit throttle on wet pavement, the MT2 just stays on it.

I’ve run a ton of mud terrains over the years… STT Pro, EVO MT, Baja Boss MT, Toyo MT, Yokohama G003, Falken MT, Arroyo and more… the MT2 sits at the top right now for wet road traction and overall M/T balance, just above the Cooper EVO M/T.

I DID NOT SEE THIS COMING!!

Off-road they grip. On road they’re pretty mellow. In the rain and on wet surface roads… they’re unreal!!

Curious to see how they wear long term, but so far, this is one seriously impressive mud terrain.

This is hands down, the best M/T I've ever run on wet surface roads.
