2025 4Runner Price Expectations

I’m a little surprised that the 4Runner’s top package will be close to $70k…not shocked, but more disappointed. I get it, but was hoping they’d cool the jets a bit on the inflated pricing, but alas, I s’pose not! I’ve got my eyes on a 4Runner this year, and not sure which trim. But, whatever trim, definitely the Mud Bath.

Paid 51k for my 2020 TRD Pro I can’t see paying 12k more for a 2025.
Same. I’d go 5-6k extra. Simply for the technology new drivetrain and added features. It’s a lot of upgrade for the money assuming it holds true to its heritage and reliability. I get that all the new tech costs more than that, but the R&D is already there considering the tech and drive train has already been around for a year or two now in other platforms.

Up here in Canuckistan, I am suspect I’ll be looking at $70-75K for a TRD OR.. what vital organs can I sell? lol

Isn't SR5 premium dead for 6th gen? Wasn't announced as a trim

They might not have released it as an official trim but you can always add the "premium package" or the "upgrade package" (two separate packages) to an SR5 to make it an SR5P... If it's not released as an official model, there will always be options and packages with all the add-ons that eventually make it a premium.

This is where I’m stuck as well… the jump up seems quite a bit…

If prices jump up like the spread is showing the market may be slow. Sure some will pay these prices and even the markups to drive the 4Runners first but after that initial rush they may sit on the lots.
Sure, I would like this next gen 4Runner but am only willing to spend what I feel it’s worth, never want to feel raped leaving a dealership….never.

Official Pricing will be released this fall, however with some 5th Gen 4Runner pricing and comparative data against the 2025 Tacoma and J250 Land Cruiser - we can make some assumptions.

The biggest factor in price will be the upgrade options for premium models. With the 2025 Tacoma price live on Toyota's website, we can make a correlation between the two.

2025 Tacoma Upgrade Pricing
  • TRD SPORT Upgrade Package with Options: $6,255
  • TRD SPORT Premium Package with Options: $8,690
  • Audio Multimedia Upgrade with Options: $1,490
  • Heated Front Seats with Options: $645
Based on some of these upgrade options, we can get closer to the base price and premium package upgrade options. Of course we are just making assumptions here, but what do you think? Is this realistic pricing or no?

Well time to play the lotto!

Ok guys, the price expectations V3 is out! After seeing the release of TRD PRO iFORCE MAX pricing on 4GTaco.com we can start to make even closer assumptions as to what we can expect for the 6th Gen 4Runner.

Now we know the TRD PRO will be the most expensive model in the lineup (initially everyone was thinking TrailHunter would be more expensive). The 2025 TRD Pro 4Runner will likely come in at around $70K and the TrailHunter just below it at $69K. Both are offered in only i-FORCE MAX (hybrid) powertrains. Very few will be purchasing these models so let's look at what's realistic for most of us. The TRD Sport i-FORCE MAX will likely be positioned around $50k while the TRD Off-Road i-FORCE MAX will be around $51k... Not horrible for a brand-new feature-packed and completely redesigned 4Runner.

With dealer markups, we can expect the TRD PRO and TrailHunter to pull $75-$80k and OTD pricing with taxes, and registration will put this vehicle at close to $90K... ouch. 🥹🥹😩

As for the TRD Sport and TRD Off-Road, after dealer markups, we're looking at $55k-$60k and OTD pricing will come in around $65k+. Also ouch. 😭

This pricing is simply out of control...there is no possible way for me to justify a 90k T4R....Can't wait to see these "fly off the lots". It's terribly sad because I do want one but the pricing is a bit tough for me to justify. My 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD with a Duramax in AT4 trim was 92k OTD....at least the GMC can tow a house if I had to.

Forgive me for the NEWB question, but without digging into this too deep, which NEW 6th GEN 4R will be as close to my White 2021 Limited - Nightshade? If I'm going to trade mine in I want the exact same 6th Gen. Oh and I want Hybrid. Sick of paying so much for gas, and my wife has a 2019 Rav4 Hybrid and we've cut the gas bill by 1000's per year...sign me up

Probably the new Platinum or Limited:

Platinum:

Limited:

Ya that Platinum is going to be hard to top for me. 2 changes I'd love to see would be the T-O-Y-O-T-A logo on the front, instead of the Logo-Logo, AND black it out

Hey, FNG here. I don't understand the logic of the TRD Pro being more expensive than the Trailhunter. I was under the impression the Trailhunter, with all of the bells and whistles would be the top of the line. Granted it will not get a sunroof, but honestly, I could care less for one.

And those GMCs jumped up 50% since Covid. I bought my 2019 Denali 3500 Duramax for $62k brand new. It could still tow a house.
