This 2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport Premium came into 8Runner Off-Road for a suspension and wheel upgrade that would give it more clearance, a tougher stance, and the right fitment for larger tires. The end result is a build that looks sharp and performs with confidence.

We started with a Westcott Designs preload collar lift, raising the 4Runner about 2–3 inches. This not only leveled the stance but also opened up room for 33–34 inch tires and improved ground clearance. A coilover assembly and alignment were completed to dial in the geometry and handling.

Why the Westcott Lift?
  • Levels the stance while maintaining factory ride quality
  • Provides clearance for 33–34 inch tires
  • Increases ground clearance for off-road use
Next up was the wheel and tire package. We mounted 285/75R17 Toyo Open Country A/T IIIs (measuring about 33.8 inches) on KMC Torx wheels in matte black. The +25 offset keeps the fitment tight, avoiding unnecessary trimming while still delivering a bold look. Extended black lug nuts finished the setup with a secure, clean fit.

Why this combo works:
  • Toyo A/T IIIs: excellent balance of traction and durability
  • KMC Torx: aggressive blacked-out styling to match TRD accents
  • +25 offset: perfect fitment with the lift, no excess poke
Future upgrades are already on the way, with a set of Westcott sliders ordered to add protection and function. With the lift, wheels, and tires now complete, this TRD Sport Premium stands taller, clears bigger rubber, and is dialed for more than just pavement.

Would you start your 4Runner build with suspension and wheels, or focus first on armor and lighting?

That is very cool to see if I want to go in that direction with my Sport Premium. Might not be as aggressive with lift or tires. Perhaps 18/17 wheels with tread for sand and local gravel roads. Thanks
