When the Dealer resets the clock or a Service reminder?

Hi Guys

I would appreciate your input here before I open up a can of worms for Toyota.
Last year I bought what I thought was a new 4Runner Gen 6, love the car.
I recently noticed something that I did not before.
When I start my car it shows a millage of around 8000 miles, and then drops to 5000 miles a second later.
This feels like they reset the odometer, but did not think to reset some core setting they do not have access to at the dealership.
What would the best way to deal with this. I am happy to take this up with the dealership, but at the same time am concerned at what I am experiencing.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Leaving this post here, simply to help someone else understand the milage number changes & to look out for the little wrench, which I did not notice till it was pointed out by @Archer80.
Hope you guys are enjoying your 4runners.

Are you sure it's not showing time until your next service?

.
Maybe that is it, however the figures don't seem to add up between what the system says and what their sticker says of that is the case.
This is the reading when I first start up

It then changes to

And the next schedule service they posted is this

You may be correct, I see there is a little spanner which I never previously noticed.
Super confusing as a new owner.
