As far as sliders I am waiting for the aftermarket to catch up. I would like something low profile as to not exasperate the width of the 4runner.Nice look at the track width overall compared to the Jeeps. You mentioned carbon fiber protection underneath? What are you referring to there? What sliders are you upgrading to? Nice video man, keep getting out there and pushing the limits. This is awesome.

I am sure it was done to reduce weight and improve MPG. And the people that never take the vehicle offroad won't care. But for the rest of us. We now have to spend more money to fix it. It could be that the vehicle just costs that much to produce so they have to cut corners to keep it under $70k.
There is a TRD one from Toyota I am looking at. I get some of the design decisions. But why is the price so high if they are reducing weight and leaving critical offroad components off. I will check out the rock sliders.
