Lack Of Hood Struts Solution For 6th Gen 4Runner

As we all know or maybe this is unfortunate news to some, the new 6th Gen 4Runner comes with a hood prop…I know WTF Toyota. Our beloved 5th Gen comes with gas struts and the new most likely more expensive 4Runner doesn’t. Lucking RedLine Tuning has made some gas struts work for the new 4th Gen Tacoma, and I assume they will also make some for the new 4Runner. They were super easy to install and didn’t require any sort of rivet, they just simple attached to existing hardware and OE bolt locations. Really makes you wonder why Toyota cheaped out. Do you know of a solution for the Land Cruiser? I wonder if the GX struts will work.
