Ok guys, here's the damage report from this last weekend.

We hit a trail up in Northern California first, rated a 4-5, depending on the time you go. It's really not that difficult and is very easy for the 5th Gen 4Runner, but it proved to put some marks on the 6th Gen - in all the right places, thankfully. No damage to the body except for some minor scuffs and scrapes in the paint. But both front and rear bumpers are getting replaced at some point, so I'm not too concerned with lower bumper damage. And we will eventually swap out the fender flares with an upgraded gloss or carbon fiber set. I'm glad I figured this out before getting a new set of fender flares. Now I know what to expect going into a new set. Before I put new fender flares on, I for sure need a full suspension with correct height bump stops, front and rear.

Both fender flares got ripped off early on in the trail, and we eventually snapped them back on once the trail mellowed out, but they kept falling off - even on the road, and each time they fell off, we seemed to lose a clip or two, so after the third time it fell off, I just threw it in the back of the 4Runner to deal with it later.

The CBI sliders took some insane hits all day long and held strong.

The CBI skid plates and lower control arms took some hits as well and held strong.

All in all, it wasn't too bad. Just a few hits on the front bumper, rear bumper, wheels, sliders, skids, all the fender flares, felt liner got mangled on both sides, and a few pinstripes from the manzanita.

At full compression, the tires make contact with the fender flares first before hitting the bump stops.

I don't know, sometimes the driver would hit hard, sometimes the passenger would hit. Maybe an average of 15 times per side? lol

Every hit went straight through my soul. Hahaha

We didn't get any shots running the gnarly stuff because it was raining and hailing half the day. Pretty much prevented us from getting any video. Let me see if I can find anything from the playa, though the day before.

The stock flares are trash anyways they literally get scratched sooooo easy and gas keeps dripping on mine at the bump and like stains it for a while so annoying. Once mine get beat to all hell im probably going to get some gloss ones and either wrap or ppf them for sure

Yeah for sure, once they get hit with some dirt and water, stains start to tack on there pretty quickly. The material is also incredibly soft. If you barely even brush up against a bush or some brush, it's scratched.

Need to swap mine out at some point as well.

You didn't hesitate at all haha, love it. Looks like a solid shake down run. I think the potential is there!
