The new 4th Gen Tacoma shares ALOT of parts with the new 6th Gen 4Runner. The positive thing about this is all of the issues that the Tacoma has had in is first year of production (which really isn’t many) have been fixed or are currently being investigated for a solution. The Tacoma has a transmission issue with a few trucks and it’s already fixed. It’s had some software issues which is already fixed as well. Yes it stinks that the Taco had these issues in the first place, but at the same time it allows the new 4R to hopefully come out the gates swinging as a super reliable rig.
