Maintenance plans - Are they worth it?

I'm going to be getting a new 2025 4Runner next month (my wife already has a 2025 TRD Pro hybrid). I am wondering if the maintenance plan is worth it or not. I will be putting on probably around 40,000 miles per year on it, so price insulation is not much of a factor.

I posted on another forum my reaction when the dealer offered one. It was only like $1000, and I told him that if it was a Ford I’d buy it, he said that if it was a Ford it’d be a lot more expensive.

I did one once on a highlander many years ago and regretted it. The 4Runners are the best built vehicles in the world, from the highest quality plan in the world. IMHO, not remotely worth the cost, but YMMV.
