A little over two months ago, I installed the Overland Tailor Tune to my 6th Gen Toyota 4Runner. I was a little bit skeptical about running the system at first, but my tuner Tom gave me all the background details on how long OTT has been in business, how they work their parameters for their tune, and all of the research and development that goes into each specific platform that they make these tunes for. I was recently running a throttle enhancer, which did help a little bit of the turbo lag out of this vehicle, but let me tell you this Twon completely woke up the vehicle. We get about 30 more horsepower and torque when running premium gas and that's essentially all I've put into my vehicle since I've gotten the tune. I have ran some regular tanks of gas and noticed a good bit of decrease in power so I know that's not a placebo effect. I drove this vehicle probably close to 5000 miles now with the Twon on it and have had absolutely no issues.
I feel like my miles per gallon is also increased with this because some of the same driving that I did when the vehicle was stocked, I'm averaging about one to two more miles per gallon. The throttle response along with the new shifting points that were refined by OTT are very noticeable so much so to the point where I used to believe that a hybrid 4runner was where it was at, but now with this simple Twon, I don't really feel the need to get a hybrid 4runner anymore. I'll keep you all updated as I continue to drive this with the Twon if there's anything you guys wanna know? Let me know in the comments and I'll answer your guises questions there.
