Setting up this thread as a guide/resource for ditch light setups as they become available for the new 6th Gen 4Runner.

Ditch lights are auxiliary lights that are mounted on a vehicle to illuminate the sides of trails and ditches, or the road ahead. They are often angled outward to provide additional light which can help drivers see potential hazards, such as obstacles and animals, more easily while on the trail.

This mod may be rather quick because I think that the 6th Gen 4Runner shares the same hood design as the new Tacoma. But regardless, feel free to use this thread for ditch lights with the new 4Runner.

CBI Off-Road Just dropped a set. The hardware mounting points sit behind the hood instead of directly over the hood. This is a huge win in the ditch light bracket department. I don't know how many times I've scratched or dented my hood trying to get an open-end wrench off the nut on the super low profile brackets. If you're running ditch light brackets like the ones pictured above, it's not a big deal, but for the low-profile brackets, you have to be extremely careful when threading the nut on the ditch light bolt. I really like this CBI design because it sits behind the hood instead of directly on top of the hood.

Anymore on this topic? Looking for comparisons on brackets and lights. Pictures would be great.

Thanks.

is it me or do the CBI ones look like the top part is bent down instead of just being flat?

They're definitely bent down. Not sure if that was intentional to clear something or what the reasoning was behind that.

I have a set of the KC HiLiTES ditch light brackets that I need to install this week. Curious to see how those will differ from the CBI ones.

Let's see those final shots of the KC ditch light brackets... did you get them installed yet?
