Just picked up my ‘25 TRDP from Mt States Toyota in Denver this weekend. Paid MSRP of ~$69,000. I traded in my ‘24 Land Cruiser First Edition in trail dust for this T4R. Here are the T4Rs I have owned
- ‘07 Sport silver
- ‘15 Trail Barcelona red
- ‘16 Pro white
- ‘17 Pro white
- ‘18 Pro voodoo blue
- ‘22 Pro lime rush green
- ‘23 Pro solar octane
This was a bit of a tough decision to let my Land Cruiser go for the purchase of this T4R TRDP. They are similar and they are different. The LC had the better interior because it had better continuity and fit and finish. The T4R TRDP has the better driving dynamics and exterior styling. The T4R is much more exciting to drive hands down. Even though they have the same iforce max powerplant and 8 speed transmission the 4R with the TRD cold air intake and TRD exhaust is less turbo diesel sounding while also making better noises and is way more responsive. As far as comparing it to the 5th gen I think Toyota did a great job with this generation update. More power. More torque. More modern tech. Better MPG. The styling is very much in the lineage of 4R all around. Interior still feels like a 4R. This really is an amazing T4R and I think Toyota knocked it out of the park with this generation.
