    2026 6th Gen 4Runner Predictions? Any Changes?

Advice needed: I just read on another 6th Gen forum that the 2026 MSRP list is out and the increases will range from $1,800 to $2,200 for various trims. Here's my dilemma: I never have purchased the first year of a new model or generation, waiting for any learning curve to be incorporated in...

    Suspension Upgrade - No Lift

As I've been looking at stepping up to larger size tires on 18" wheels, I've noticed that the taller/wider tires are virtually all 10-ply load range "E". There's almost nothing available in 275 or 285 width, or 75 height, in a 4-ply load range "SL" or equivalent. While I'd like the extra width...

OEM Wheel Sizes & Specs: 2025+ (6th Gen) Toyota 4Runner

Hoo boy, now I'm really confused. I've been looking at wheel specs on different sites and they're all over the place for the same TRD Pro wheel. For example: OEMPartsOnline says 2025 Toyota TRD Pro 18-in wheels are 8-in wide with +45mm offset; a dealer's site agrees, showing the identical page...

OEM Wheel Sizes & Specs: 2025+ (6th Gen) Toyota 4Runner

The OEM wheel on 2025 TRD ORP is +55mm offset. If I put the 2025 TRD Pro wheel with 20mm offset on this vehicle, I assume it will fit OK with OEM sized tires (265/70R18)? Both wheels are same width; only difference is less offset.

    Suspension Upgrade - No Lift

Excellent advice, thanks! One final (probably dumb) question -- the TRD ORP comes with 18" wheels. Is the suggestion to step down to a 17" to use the larger tire? Or would it actually be 285/75/18 tire?

    Suspension Upgrade - No Lift

Brenan, Thanks very much for prompt reply and advice. I plan to level the front, as I did with my 2019. I didn't realize that OME would allow keeping rear at stock height -- that isn't clear in their description. Calling to chat with vendors such as Mudify is good advice. Am I silly to think...

    Suspension Upgrade - No Lift

Back in 2019, Trail4r provided some excellent advice for suspension upgrades when I was buying my first TRD ORP (with KDSS, on his advice). I replaced the stock rear springs and installed Bilstein struts and rear shocks and have been happy with them. Had to replace the struts a couple years ago...

    Throttle Response Curve for Non-Hybrid

Thanks! What tuning did you do beyond the CPLT intake? How much difference does intake make in cabin noise?

    Throttle Response Curve for Non-Hybrid

This question is for 6th-Gen owners who bought a non-hybrid. I'm curious about the throttle response curve for the gas engine on the 6th-Gen. With my 5th-Gen, the OEM throttle response curve looks something like this: In other words, the throttle response is very limited at first, and the...

New 4R build: what to do with factory tires?

No idea now of price, this was in 2019. Took a few days. Buyer was from another state

    TRD ORP vs. iForce Max

No - I was using USA Toyota as far as I know. If you check the "2025 4Runner Price Expectations" chart at the top of this site, it matches what I saw on the configurator. It lists TRD OR, TRD OR i-FORCE, & TRD ORP. No TRD ORP i-Force.

    TRD ORP vs. iForce Max

Thanks for clarification, but I don't understand why the Toyota configuration site doesn't offer that. Weird.

    TRD ORP vs. iForce Max

I hadn't realized until I was looking at the online Toyota configurator that the TRD ORP is not available with iForce Max. This is very disappointing. My preferred color is not offered with the TRD Pro, so I've been looking at the ORP with some mods, but also wanted the hybrid. Now it seems that...

    Dual Battery Setup

Just be aware that the battery mount on the 4Runner fender cannot support the two heavy batteries without reinforcement. Genesis claims that it can, but my bracket ripped out of the sheet metal mount after some extended trips on rough roads. I hired a fabricator to make a reinforced mount, and...
