I'm currently at 21.7 on my new 4Runner. This has been accompanied by a bit of city driving lately. I haven't reset my MPG at all since I filled up during my road trip which was about 300 miles or so ago. It has only gone down about .5 or so in the around 100 miles around town I have been driving.

do you see yourself getting one of the I force max engines soon? I know the Tacoma has it, so maybe it's not top of the list for you, but an I force max TRD ORP is what I'm eyeing (or a TRD Pro if I can somehow find one), and there isn't too many videos on it on YouTube, at least from creators I like.

I got 20.1 mpg on my sr5 4x4 coming home today on the 200 mile trip, running about 75-85mph and in 10 degree weather. it had 6 miles when I started the trip home

I left from Louisville headed to Florida. Got about 21.9 blended with mostly highway at 85. Down in Florida for a week with only city driving, dropped to about 20.3. Have not reset yet. Will reset today when heading from Orlando to Miami. Then in a week, I'll be heading back to Michigan and reset before I leave. I'll let you know what I find out.

I would yes. Maybe in a year or so

Currently at 17.7mpg avg on toyo at3s in stock 265/70/18. Not as good as I was hoping for to be honest. Just about the same as the 5th gen...

Having now driven for a few weeks (the vast majority of city driving), I am somewhere in the 20-21 MPG, depending on how fast my foot hits the pedal. :ROFLMAO:

~500 miles into the Pro and I’m only getting 15mpg, driving exclusively in eco mode, being very nice to it, with roughly a 50/50 mix of city/hwy driving (70mph cruise control on my 170mi trip to work). Honestly pretty disappointed thus far. There seems to be zero repeatability as to when the electric motor will kick in. Sometimes I roll out from a stop with light throttle and the gauge for electric motor shows it’s using ~75% (up to 100% if I roll into the throttle more), then the next stop it does nothing, and sometimes it blips up close to 50% just for a second then never kicks back in. If I was in sport mode smashing around everywhere 15 would be fine… but to only get 15 driving like a grandma in eco when it’s advertised to get 23/24 is unacceptable.

Damn, yeah that's a bummer. Something doesn't sound right. Are you still on factory tires? Maybe reset your MPGs?

Resetting the MPGs

Yes, it’s completely stock and I reset the mpg when I filled it up. Range on a full tank of Shell Vpower is barely over 300mi.

I’d sure hope so. Getting worse mpg than my 5th gen was not part of the plan. Just filled up before driving 80mi to the dealer; 60mph cruise control and it says 15.5. Frustrated to say the least.

I'm with ya, first tank was only 16.7 - 80% eco mode, 2nd tank I'm 17.2 at about 75 miles into the tank.. 100% Eco mode, 2nd tank I'm trying to emulate how the truck would pull out and increase speed and such in auto mode. Not seeing a difference

Any other electrical issues, seems I'm having a few. I'm starting to think there was a problem with the initial startup of the system. I know the dealership had to set it up before I took it and said it would take 24 hours for everything to work. Had several issues since with just over 300 miles and 1 weeks time.

I’ve had a few issues other than mpg… which still sucks @ 650mi.
Close/lock button on the rear hatch doesn’t work, some kinda fault with the ambient pressure sensor that put the truck in limp mode for a day (dealer said it’s magically back to normal without replacing anything), and if an alarm goes off while using CarPlay, the music cuts out and never comes back, although it keeps on playing, just no sound.
The other stuff it does, like the way the regen braking works, cruise control dropping speed with any steering input, etc… are by design, but are extremely annoying.

The most persistent is the automatic seat and steering wheel settings, sometimes they'll set fine, other times just the steering wheel will adjust, sometimes nothing adjusts. Same when I'm exiting, sometimes everything moves out of the way, other times not.

* I also have a rear seat alert on my dash for the first 2 or 3 minutes after starting the truck, then it goes out.
* Liftgate randomly does not want to open, rear window randomly doesn't want to open or close.
* This afternoon I kept getting an alert that my moonroof was open, it wasn't and I had to refresh my app to make it go away.
* Seems I also lost my nighttime lights on my mirror and rear tailgate when I get out if it's dark out. Worked the first few days now nothing.

Anybody wanna post their range on a full tank? I can barely get 300mi with the cruise set at 70.

Took it into the dealership, they fiddled with the computer for 2 1/2 hrs. and said there were some things they had to switch, not sure what that means, now everything seems to be working. I'm going to scout a river for a kayak trip coming up so I'll put some miles on it tomorrow. Hopefully the gas mileage will go up with whatever they did.

.

Stayed mainly on the highway and some side roads on my scouting trip Saturday and it actually picked up 1.5 mpg, up to 18.2. Since doing the daily routine so far this week I'm back down to the low 17's. I think I'm going to be switching out the mpg display in my cluster very shortly.... : )
