As it happens, my TRD ORP came without them, which is fine given the outrageous price. However, I do sometimes want an attachment point for a ski rack such as this:

I notice that Toyota lists a Cross Slat Assembly and related Service Kit on its Accessories page:

That's right, no images! So, what are these if not the same thing that is sold as a PIO? Does anyone have any photos? Even assuming two of each are needed (but is that true?), that's still just around $280 – a lot less than the PIO. Especially if they're a simple DIY job.
Does anyone know anything about these and their dimensions? How about wind noise and resistance?
FWIW, the ski rack linked above shows the following fitment options:
The "aero tube" looks most preferable, assuming they're quietest (load-carrying is not a big concern for a ski rack with a couple of pairs of skis).
