Hey guys,

We had a couple of customers come in looking to solve the 12V accessory wiring problem on the 2025+ 4Runner and 2024+ Tacoma hybrid systems, and we're launching a product specifically for that.

While the new hybrid powertrains in the 6th Gen 4Runner and 4th Gen Tacoma deliver impressive performance, they present a unique challenge for anyone looking to wire 12V accessories: the 12V auxiliary battery is located in the rear cargo area. This layout makes it far less accessible for winches, switches, compressors, or any accessory that traditionally requires direct battery power and a clean ground path under the hood.

To address this, we engineered a complete 12V Auxiliary Battery Terminal Relocation Kit specifically for these hybrid platforms.

Our solution reroutes the auxiliary 12V battery’s power and ground leads from the rear of the vehicle to the engine bay, providing easy access to clean power up front—exactly where you need it for aftermarket wiring. The kit includes:
  • OEM+ grade harness with braided split-loom protection
  • Color-coded heat shrink for clear polarity
  • 100% copper lugs for maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance
  • Custom CNC-cut aluminum bracket designed to mount the new terminals on the driver’s side, in front of the headlight housing
This setup drastically simplifies accessory installation for current and future upgrades—no more routing cables back to the cargo area every time you add a new circuit.

Final product photos for both the 6th Gen 4Runner and 4th Gen Tacoma will be posted here soon.

For professional installation or to get your kit installed, stop by Stellar Built in Sacramento or reach out to our team for details.

Update:

We will have a 6th Gen Hybrid 4Runner in the shop this Thursday and will be documenting the installation process and final photos for the 12V Auxiliary Battery Terminal Relocation Kit. We will keep the thread updated.,
