Hey 4runner gang looking for some opinions for my 1st 4runner

This vehicle will be my daily driver and my weekend overlander a couple weekends a month as well as a few weeklong trips during the year. Im an adventurer and explorer so while I dont go hunting trails to rock crawl, if there rocks in my way to were I wanna go im going over them. Ultimatly want confidence my vehicle can take me to the many unseen places but wanna make sure im not paying for things I really wont use. So with that in mind what do you all think would be the better option for me:

A: TRD Off Road mostly stock except for the overland kit (sleep, food, power, etc...) may upgrade vehicle in future.

B: SR5 (PT4WD) that I Kit out with new wheels and bigger A/T tires, new suspension, skid plates, rock sliders and the overland kit.

The only real upgrades for off roading that the trd off road has that aren't present on the sr5 is the multi terrain select, and crawl control. Both of those are probably things you can skip. The one that is more valuable is the rear locking differential. That will be a sacrifice if you go sr5.

I bought a trd off road premium because I wanted the sunroof, nicer stereo, and most importantly, to avoid cloth seats. The softex fake leather wears really well and is easy to clean.

if you plan to modify suspension/wheels/tires etc, I think an SR5 (as long as it is 4wd) is a much more cost effective option. Probably close to $10k cheaper if you shop around. Maybe 15-17k cheaper than an off road premium.

My problem with the fake leather is will survive my dog? She's hyper active and I'm afraid that the fake leather won't stand up to her paws...Anybody else have experience with dogs and the leather seats?

It's really going to depend on if you see value in the extra "off-road" focused stuff. Which will only really matter if you start to get into moderate trails. I have an Off-Road Premium Hybrid, but that's just me. Didn't need the fancier stuff because I will build it myself. And you get the bigger rear axle, etc. Going to come down to budget and how you plan to use it.
