Quick update on the build here you guys. Most of you know we are huge believers in 74W portal axles.

We finally took the leap on the 6th Gen 4Runner and put it on a set of portals. We're going to start pushing the 6G limits here this season to see how well this platform performs off-road on some of the hardest trails out here in Northern California. More ground clearance, better gearing, and just more capable all the way around.

Just wanted to share some photos and the wheel/tire/suspension setup.
  • Full ICON CDXS suspension
  • 1 inch suspension lift
  • ICON billet control arms
  • 38X13.5 Nitto Trail Grapplers
  • 17X8.5 +25 RRW RG6-H mono forged beadlocks
  • Polished beadlock finish
Between the portals, moderate suspension lift, and 38s, this setup keeps the center of gravity somewhat low while gaining serious axle clearance and improved approach on technical terrain.

More trail time and detailed breakdowns coming soon as this build continues to evolve.
