It’s refreshing to see no posts in this forum sections yet for the new 4Runner. Maybe yall don’t have issues, or are not aware that we have categories here on the forum. SO, that being said…does anyone have any issues yet with their new 6th Gen?
 
While I get your point, I'll be way more impressed/encouraged if this section is still empty after dealers have 4runners on the lot for people to see/drive--and all models, not just a few. It's still very early days and Toyota is apparently being extra cautious/slow due to some recent hiccups on other models that got amplified into a quality/reliability crisis in a matter of hours of the first rumor of a problem, by an army of content creators with bashing-oriented content. Toyota isn't helping itself through its silence on when and how these issues on other models will be resolved.

No real issues other than the fact that I popped my hood and noticed surface rust. It has 800 miles on it. Garage stored in central Texas.... wtf

Power liftgate close and lock button has never worked. And now at less than 500 miles it’s telling me “reduced engine power, visit dealer”.
 
Seems I'm having random electrical issues, the most persistent is the automatic seat and steering wheel settings, sometimes they'll set fine, other times just the steering wheel will adjust, sometimes nothing adjusts. Same when I'm exiting, sometimes everything moves out of the way, other times not.

* I also have a rear seat alert on my dash for the first 2 or 3 minutes after starting the truck, then it goes out.
* Liftgate randomly does not want to open, rear window randomly doesn't want to open or close.
* This afternoon I kept getting an alert that my moonroof was open, it wasn't and I had to refresh my app to make it go away.
* Seems I also lost my nighttime lights on my mirror and rear tailgate when I get out if it's dark out. Worked the first few days now nothing.

When I took the truck for a test drive I was the first, less than 2 miles and all the wrappers still on, nothing electrical worked and the dealer told me that they had to set everything up in the computer and it would take 24 hours before everything would work.

Is there a chance that the initial startup on the computer system had an error or something went wrong with the setup? This stuff is way too new for me to understand. Does it need a software update?

Do they have to do the PDI again?

Had it to the dealership today, the went into the computer changed some coding (above my pay grade) and all issues seem to have been resolved. Took 2 guys a little over 2 hrs. as they had to test as they went. They said their still learning with the rest of us with this new model
