Hello,
Let me start that we are super happy with our TRD Sport, yet coming from a BMW am super confused with the endless alerts, auto braking for no reason, siren going off in Starbucks drive thru, and “cruise control not available see manual”.
Being new, was hoping that one of you may have found the fuse that can be pulled to stop all that drama that takes away from a great truck? Or any “do this, disable that” instructions for any new 6g4r member?

my 4th 4Runner, and still like the simplicity of the 1997 4Runner, that my ex still drives as daily driver!

Hope there is some smart folks out here there?

J.

Can you take a few photos of the error messages on the gauge cluster so we can see what might be triggering it?

Mine was pretty lit up as well when I first purchased it. There are a ton of safety features that are enabled by default, and you may need to disable a few of them, but the siren going off randomly is a weird one.

Here is the complete list of warning lights: https://6thgen4runner.com/threads/6th-gen-4runner-dashboard-warning-lights-complete-guide.591/

Here is a link to all the safety features and how to disable them: https://6thgen4runner.com/threads/m...ons.564/#-5-safety-driver-assistance-features

I would start by disabling all safety features via the gauge cluster and then slowly enable them one by one to understand the exact behavior of each setting.

Nice! Let me go thru that link. Siren was when parking in a spot that had a soft leaf shrub, guess Toyota engineers configured that as a head on collision…? KISS
