I just got a teaser pic from Justin at XPEL Dallas on how my 4Runner is turning out. He just sent me a pic of the front, in prep for the grand reveal on Monday. But we went with a Matte PPF wrap, and I’m PUMPED to see how it is gonna come out! Super excited! He said that the body lines POP! I just hope it doesn’t look too baby blue now.

It seems almost certain that a matte film will shift it more toward baby blue. But since the original color had such variation in blueness depending on lighting, maybe it will only be in certain lighting that it (subjectively) looks "too" baby blue.

I would also imagine that a matte film would mute the metallic effect if you applied it over a metallic paint. So for example, a matte film would seem like it would ruin the "pop" of supersonic red, but maybe I'm wrong about that.

Correct about the metallic for sure. I am worried it will look too blue. But this teaser was just an all blue corner with no black of the tint or wheels. So I hope that breaks it up more.
