Just picked up my new Trailhunter, and I love it so far!
One thing I can't figure out though is a small device near the OBD2 port in the drivers footwell with a green light on it.
There is a button that does not do anything on it as well.

Can anyone shed some light (pun intended) on what this thing is for?

I think that is a GPS tracking device that some dealerships put on their cars for theft. The sales manager director must disclose that if there is one on your car they typically do not tell you.

Thanks guys, I called the dealership and you are right that it is an "anti-theft alarm' they claimed was not programmed since I did not add it as an option. Either way, it has since been removed.

But on a positive note! You could probably just extend that wiring out down around your foot well and make a ambient light. My RAV4 had those on the passenger and driver side as a factory install. Kind of nice if you drop your phone you can at least find it. Just my two cents
