    Wiring for LiFePO Battery

You can only cycle Lead acid batteries over 50% of their rated capacity, without dramatically shortening the battery life. Eg a 100Ah lead acid, you can only use 50Ah. The Ah is a static charge holding capacity. It is not how much power it can supply at any point in time. Amps is the current...

    Wiring for LiFePO Battery

Here is a comment about only getting around 9A long term, from the 12V supply: https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/things-to-know-on-the-hybrid-2400w-power-output-and-dc-to-dc-system.4846/

    Wiring for LiFePO Battery

A brake controller is for a trailer. The vehicle I came with did not have a brake controller and it is recommended for light trailers and required for heavier trailers - so I need to install one. It controls the brakes on the trailer. The brake controller was installed into the dash - behind...

6th Gen 4Runner Engine Oil Change Guide

Thank you for the great instructions. I just did my OffRoad Hybrid at 1159 miles. I did have to remove both of the factory installed skid plates (well small stone protection - they are really not strong enough for rocks - proper skid plates are on the list to add to the truck in ~6-9 months) the...

    Wiring for LiFePO Battery

I am interested in the answer as well. I am working on doing a similar thing. The difference is I have both a Victron 110V charger (30A @ 12V) and a 50A 12V DC to DC converter (programmatically set to 8A input so as not to overload the cigarette lighter) - as redundant approaches, in the hope...

Question about Aftermarket Trailer Brake Controllers

Controller now wired and installed. Need to test it with a real trailer with trailer brakes. Purchased a REDARC TPSI-011 from Summit racing. The TPSI-011 is the correct blank block for the empty slot on the top switch row.

Question about Aftermarket Trailer Brake Controllers

I just plugged the REDARC TPH-021 into the white connector, and it seemed to have all the correct voltages. On the end that plugs into the REDARC: White looked to be ground. Black looked to be 12V Red seemed to be 0V when brake not pressed and 12V when brake pedal was pressed. I do not yet...

Question about Aftermarket Trailer Brake Controllers

IMO there is a brake harness. Page 212 of the manual shows the location of the service connector. I am in the process of working to wire it up to a REDARC controller. Cannot yet confirm it all works, but it seems to be mainly there.

2025 (6th Gen) 4Runner Fuse Box Location & Replacement Steps

@Trail4R The two pictures of the engine compartment fuse boxes, seem to be reversed. At least in my vehicle the one shown here as being on the passenger side, is in my vehicle on the driver side and vice versa.
