My initial thoughts on the 2025 Toyota 4runner SR5

Nice Setup 4Runner.! thanks for taking the time to share! To add on to reliability.... -Toyota has been making 4cyl. turbos for decades. -D4D direct injection had been around overseas since 2000's... - The "updated" 70 series legendary Landcuiser now has 2.8 turbo diesel..... (r.i.p. v8)...

Do we know when the I force max engines will start to land in the states? Is it still early-mid March or has anyone heard anything different?

I was told by my dealer it would be a few months. So April maybe. It seems Toyota started TRD Pro builds already from the forums here. I speculate that it makes strategic sense for Toyota to make the TRD ORP Hybrids be the last ones to leave the line, since they benefit from putting nicer trim...

Who secured a new 4Runner with first allocations?

FANTASTIC ! I can relate since a few weeks back I drove 30 minutes on our 3rgen 99' to test drive a TROP. Then hopped right back into it for the ride back...... It made my DD feel like a wobbly coke can going down the freeway... Honestly I has impressed how well the new platform drives, feels...

I found this in Toyota nation. Granted it could be an older version, i do not know. https://www.toyotanation.com/threads/toyota-integrated-dash-cam-do-not-buy.1772060/

I totally agree on the $$$ spent on an aftermarket cam. As far as "obstructive view" I meant it definitely hangs down your peripheral view. Maybe it was the combination of a higher hood, big screen, lower racked windshield plus the cam that made that first impression of "obstructive view"...

Good Question: The unit I drove did not have them, I found that info from another one for sale in my general area. Also a image search turned futile for me here, so if anyone has more info....(y)...and thank you.

Here are a few others I found in other 4runners TRDOR prem. spec sheets: Retractable Cargo Cover $199 Cargo Cover is a retractable cargo area tonneau cover concealing the cargo area from view for added peace of mind. UV-resistant material helps protect items from sun damage and fading. Removes...

I think the cargo lights @ $399 are the only PIO possibly worth the money that I know of. The Dash cam is nice and all, but the location it sits becomes quite obstructive to the view... Not sure why it's not mounted on the Passenger side where it would be mostly hidden from driver's view...
